DMCA / Copyright Policy

DRAFT - pending attorney review. This page is a working draft and is not yet final legal terms.

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Black & Gold Dispatch respects copyright. We link to original publishers and show only headlines and our own one-line summaries, never article text or publisher images. If you believe something on our site (including a forum post) infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent.

What to include in a notice (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3))

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work.
  3. The material you claim infringes and where it is on our site (URL).
  4. Your contact information.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Counter-notice

If your post was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice with: your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone; and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, outside the U.S., any district where we may be found), and to accept service from the person who sent the original notice. We may restore the material in 10-14 business days unless the claimant tells us they have filed a lawsuit.

Repeat infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. See Terms of Use.

Bluesky posts and other platforms

We don't copy insider posts. We show a short line written by us (for example "@handle posted about injuries") with a link to the original post, so authors stay in control and deleted posts disappear from our site on the next refresh.
